As an avid mountain biker and Canmore wedding photographer, I couldn't help but get excited about Ciara and Doug's mountain bike themed wedding at the Canmore Nordic Centre, home to some of my favourite local trails! Although the weather that day was stormy and wet, they certainly didn't let that ruin their fun.
Incredible Mountain Bike Themed Wedding Details at this Canmore Nordic Centre Wedding
All the little details you'll see below were chosen to make their Canmore Nordic Centre wedding special: the chain link cufflinks, the "I Wheelie Like You" socks and Ciara's shoes are just a few examples. Although we had rain during the first look, the skies cleared and we even had some sunshine during the ceremony and couple's photos. We had a wonderful time together, travelling with videographers in tow to a few of my favourite locations in Canmore. As a Canmore wedding photographer I've never photographed a mountain bike-inspired wedding at the Nordic Centre before, but this one was so unique and fun that I hope to have the pleasure to photograph more in the future!
An Emotional and Heartfelt Ceremony for a Canmore Wedding Photographer
Despite the rain, this Canmore Nordic Centre wedding ceremony went off without a hitch thanks to a few umbrellas and a whole lot of excitement from the guests. One of the most memorable moments was when Ciara entered with her parents around her arms and as their Canmore wedding photographer I was ready to capture this candid shot. The emotion on everyone's face (in the picture below) was overwhelming and really reinforced why I love shooting weddings! These moments are fleeting but deserve to be captured, saved and shared for generations. The ceremony was officiated by Threshold Ceremonies and was beautifully written and moved everyone in attendance. This was one of the most unique ceremonies that I've ever witnessed as a Canmore wedding photographer.

Canmore Wedding Photographers Love This Location for Couples Photos
In my time doing Canmore wedding photography I've been to the Canmore Engine Bridge for couples photos dozens of times and it's still a location that I adore. There are so many things to see and backgrounds to photograph within a few minutes walk. You can see mountains, forests and the Bow River, not to mention the historic Engine Bridge which is tied to Canmore's early history as a coal mining town. We had a great time exploring this little area and getting some creative photos with the bridge and mountains. It was such a pleasure being Ciara and Doug's Canmore wedding photographer and I wish them the best in their new life together!
